Build the input, get the call

Change any field; the code on the right follows. Copy it, or run the same input on Apify.

Words or phrases; an update matches when its title or summary contains any of them (whole words). Leave empty for everything from the chosen sources and sectors.

Only updates about these sectors (matched on title and summary). Combine with keywords to narrow further.

Read every built-in source of these jurisdictions. Leave empty for all.

Pick specific built-in sources instead of whole jurisdictions.

Any government, regulator or agency feed URL (ministries, central banks, courts, standards bodies, local councils...). They're read alongside the built-in sources and get the same filters.

Any official "What's new", circulars, notifications, orders or press-release page that lists dated entries (ministries, regulators, state departments, district sites). It is read like a feed: one update per entry, with its date, title and...

An official site's home page (a ministry, regulator, state department). Its Circulars, Notifications, What's New, Press Releases and Orders lists are found from the page and watched together. Turn on Respect robots.txt to skip sites that...

Skip list pages and sites whose robots.txt asks automated clients to stay away. Off by default: pages are public government pages read once per run under our named User-Agent.

Only updates published in the last N days.

Only updates from these agencies, departments or regulators (any part of the name, e.g. "Environmental Protection", "HM Treasury", "Food and Drug").

Only these kinds of update, e.g. rule and proposed-rule for new regulation, consultation for open consultations, circular for regulator circulars.

Leave out updates whose title or summary contains any of these.

Most updates kept from each source (after filters).

Most updates returned by the run.

AI insights (optional)

Add an `insight` to each update: a plain-language summary, what changes, who is affected, the dates that matter and what to do. With a profile, also a 0-100 relevance score and its reason.

What your organisation does and where, e.g. "NBFC lending to small businesses in India; we follow RBI and SEBI rules". Each insight then scores how relevant the update is to you.

Insights are written in this language, whatever the source language.

Insights are added to the first N updates (newest first); the rest are delivered without one.

Monitoring

Schedule the Actor (daily or hourly) and each run returns only updates earlier runs didn't deliver: a regulatory alert you pay for only when something new appears.

Guide

How Gov Radar works

Inputs, options and tips, from the tool's own documentation.

Official government updates from several countries in one clean, filtered feed: new rules and proposed rules, notices, guidance, consultations, press releases and regulator circulars, straight from the government's own sources. Pick sectors and keywords, schedule it, and get only what's new, as a dataset, an RSS feed, a Slack message or rows in Google Sheets.

Built for compliance and regulatory-affairs teams, banks, fintechs and asset managers, policy and public-affairs consultants, law firms, trade associations, journalists, and AI agents that need to know what governments published today.

Why this Actor

  • One schema for every government. jurisdiction, authority, type, title, summary, url, publishedAt, plus commentsCloseOn, effectiveDate, documentNumber and pdfUrl where the source has them.
  • Sector filters. Banking & payments, securities, insurance, tax & customs, trade & sanctions, health & pharma, food & agriculture, energy, environment & climate, technology/AI/data, transport, employment, housing, procurement, defence, education. Every update is tagged with its sectors.
  • Keyword, authority and type filters. Whole-word matching on title and summary (so "AI" doesn't match "said"), any agency or department by name, and update types such as rule, proposed-rule, consultation or circular.
  • Regulatory alerts. Turn on Only new updates and schedule it daily or hourly: each run returns only what earlier runs didn't deliver, so you pay only for new items.
  • RSS feed, Slack, Sheets, webhooks. Follow the Standby URL with &format=atom in any feed reader, or send each run's results to Slack, Discord, Google Sheets or a webhook.
  • For AI agents. Callable as an MCP tool from Claude, Cursor and other clients.

How to use it

  1. Pick sectors and/or type keywords (e.g. AI, stablecoin, battery, sanctions).
  2. Choose countries / regions (or specific sources), and add any RSS feeds or official list pages you follow.
  3. Press Start. For alerts, turn on Only new updates and add a daily schedule.

AI insights (optional)

Turn on AI insights and an AI reads each update for you: a two-sentence summary in your language, what changes, who is affected, the dates that matter (effective date, comment deadline) and what to do. Describe your organisation in Your profile and every insight also gets a relevance score (0-100) with the reason. Choose "Apify (no key)" and the model's cost goes to your Apify account, or use your own key.

Pricing

$3 per 1,000 updates plus a small start fee per run. AI insights, when you turn them on, are $0.01 each (from 24 November 2026; free until then) plus the model's tokens: about $0.0003 per insight with the default model (billed to your Apify account by Apify's AI gateway), or your provider's price with your own key. Updates that don't match your filters, duplicates and (with Only new updates) already-delivered items are free.

Updates are copied as published; the official source is always linked. Crown copyright material (GOV.UK) is used under the Open Government Licence; US federal documents are public domain; EU and Indian sources are reused under their sites' terms. This is not legal advice.

Questions

Questions about Gov Radar

How much does Gov Radar cost?

$3 per 1,000, charged only for updates returned; a run that finds nothing costs nothing. It runs on Apify, whose free plan includes monthly credit, so you can try it without paying.

Do I need to write code?

No. Fill in the form on Apify and press Start, schedule it, or send the results to Google Sheets, Slack or a webhook. For code, the input builder on this page writes the API call in curl, Python or JavaScript.

What does Gov Radar return?

Every row has the same fields, including publishedAt, jurisdiction, authority, type, title, summary, url, sectors, commentsCloseOn, effectiveDate, documentNumber, pdfUrl, topics, documents, pageUrl. Download as JSON, CSV, Excel or XML.

Can an AI agent use it?

Yes. The webdata-tools-mcp server exposes it to Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients as search_gov_updates.

Can it run on a schedule and return only new results?

Yes. Schedule it on Apify (hourly, daily, weekly) and turn on the only-new option: each run then returns only what appeared since the last run with the same input.
